Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms govern your use of Spilmes and its facilities. By joining or visiting, you agree to them.

Club Overview

Spilmes is an offline gaming and esports club providing in-person access to gaming stations, organised sessions, and social activities. We do not offer gambling, betting, or real-money gaming of any kind.

Member Responsibilities

Members must follow club rules, respect staff and other members, and use facilities appropriately.

Member Eligibility

Members and visitors must meet our minimum age requirements. Minors may join only with parental or guardian consent and may be subject to additional conditions. We may request ID to verify age.

Guest Responsibilities

Guests brought in under member benefits must comply with all club rules; the inviting member is responsible for their guest’s conduct.

Weekly Memberships

Provide unlimited visits for seven consecutive days from the start date, including most member activities.

Code of Conduct

We expect respect, inclusivity, and good sportsmanship. Harassment, discrimination, cheating, and abusive behaviour are not tolerated.

Single Visits

A single visit grants one day of club access during opening hours, subject to availability. Single visits do not include member-only events or priority booking.

Fair Play Principles

Play honestly and within the rules of each activity. Cheating or disruptive behaviour may lead to exclusion from events.

Monthly Memberships

Provide unlimited visits for one calendar month, including member events and the Monthly Championship, with priority booking and guest benefits.

Club Rules

Displayed at the venue and summarised on our Membership page. Breaches may result in removal without refund.

Annual Memberships

Provide unlimited visits for twelve months at the best value, with the highest priority tier and full event access.

Appropriate Use of Gaming Equipment

Use equipment only as intended. Do not install unauthorised software or tamper with hardware or settings.

Membership Activation

Membership begins on payment or your selected start date. Access is available immediately once active.

Responsibility for Damaged Equipment

You are responsible for loss or damage caused by misuse or negligence and may be liable for reasonable repair or replacement costs.

Membership Renewal

Weekly, monthly, and annual memberships renew automatically using your saved payment method unless cancelled beforehand. We notify you before renewal.

Technical Interruptions & Internet Connectivity

We aim to provide reliable equipment and connectivity but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

Right to Cancel

You may cancel auto-renewal at any time from your account before the next billing date. Cancellation ends future billing; existing access continues until the current period expires.

If you purchase a membership or other service online as a consumer, you generally have the right to cancel your contract within 14 days from the date the contract is concluded. If you ask us to begin providing the service during the 14-day cancellation period and then decide to cancel, you may be required to pay for any services provided up to the date of cancellation. If the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period following your express request and acknowledgement that you will lose your right to cancel once the service has been fully performed, your right to cancel may no longer apply.
The 14-day cancellation right may not apply to certain leisure services supplied on a specific date or during a specific period, where an applicable legal exception applies. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.

Refund Conditions

  • Single visits are non-refundable once used, but may be transferred to another date if you contact us in advance.
  • Weekly, monthly, and annual memberships may be refunded on a pro-rata basis only where required by law or at our discretion for exceptional circumstances.
  • Where an event is cancelled by us and cannot be rescheduled, affected paid bookings will be refunded.
  • Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Gaming Station Bookings

Stations may be reserved in advance according to your access tier. Late arrivals beyond 15 minutes may lose their slot. Please use equipment responsibly.

Event Registrations

Events have limited places, allocated on a first-come basis. Some events are members-only. We may set experience-level recommendations, which are guidance only.

Prices

All prices are in GBP and shown at the point of purchase, including VAT where applicable. We may change prices from time to time; changes do not affect an already-paid membership period.

Payments

Payments are handled by regulated third-party providers. You must have authority to use the payment method provided.

Club Opening Hours

As published on our Contact page. Hours may vary on bank holidays and special occasions.

Changes to Event Schedules

We may amend, reschedule, or cancel activities where necessary. We give reasonable notice where possible and offer an alternative or refund for paid, cancelled events.

Personal Belongings

Please look after your belongings. We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items brought onto the premises.

Intellectual Property

The Spilmes name, branding, and website content are our property or licensed to us and may not be used without permission.

Third-Party Games & Services

Games and platforms available at the club are provided by third parties and subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party content or availability.

Disclaimer of Results

Spilmes provides facilities and activities for enjoyment and practice. We do not guarantee improved performance, rankings, tournament success, professional opportunities, prizes, or any financial benefit.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to provide services due to events beyond our reasonable control.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales (or the relevant part of the United Kingdom where you access the club).

Dispute Resolution

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue. Disputes not resolved informally are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent UK courts.
